I enjoyed a great time recently when I was delighted to open a unique learning resource at St Catherine's of Sienna Primary School in Lowton.
The garden was created from wasteland at the school with the help of Groundwork Lancashire West & Wigan and the school's pupils and staff assisted in the design and building of the garden.
The £40,000 project was funded by Wigan Council and United Utilities.
The garden will help to bring the school curriculum alive as well as offering a fantastic space in which to play, explore and relax. The Groundwork team have done a fantastic job.
